Love that site but I was talking about physical events. Not nostr events. 😅
Being able to buy #bitcoin today is like if you had been able to buy dollars with seashells.
i know what i dont trust about the Bluesky project, and its claims of decentralization. but something in nostr devs reactions made me have to go check it out. And now i understand. That is one of the most interesting and pleasant onboarding processes ive ever seen. nostr has its work cut out for it to complete with that. 🤷

Really? It’s because they aren’t showing us any solid evidence, just blurry videos and photos. Interest will come when there is 1080p+ quality video and high quality radar data to study. Not to mention shit can be fabricated with ai now, which makes things even harder. It’s going to take a lot more high quality evidence before people start believing. Not just “trust me bro” anecdotal evidence.
Etymology is always interesting to me as well.

definitely. we’ll need something different, and a different internet as well. keeping your bitcoin node in sync would be annoying. ecash actually might make the most sense?
He certainly is. Now if only a few others would follow that lead… fun fact - the fella who orange pilled me did such a heavy job I became a flyers fan too.
🌊 SURF 'N TURF 🏝️ -THE ISLAND LIFE- https://image.nostr.build/e0bcc3a890d0e1c72e88e30f4c6da74fb6221fdbd9fe46438b1cf8cb623de1bc.jpg ON THIS DATE (54 YEARS AGO) November 16, 1970 – Grand Funk Railroad: Live Album is released. https://youtu.be/klFxsIEaI48 Live Album is the first live album by Grand Funk Railroad, released on November 16, 1970. It reached #5 on the Billboard 200 Top LPs & Tapes chart. The album's cover depicts a photograph of the band at the Atlanta International Pop Festival during the weekend of the 4th of July 1970, but none of the music was actually recorded there. It was recorded at the Jacksonville Coliseum on June 23, 1970 with the exception of "Paranoid" and "Inside Looking Out" which were recorded at the West Palm Beach Civic Auditorium on June 24, 1970. "Heartbreaker" is listed as being recorded at 'either Jacksonville or West Palm Beach'. __________ RECORD WORLD, November 14, 1970 CAPITOL SHIPS 1 MIL FUNK LPs HOLLYWOOD-Capitol Records will ship the largest pre-ordered amount of any one product in recent company history on Nov. 16 with the release of the new Grand Funk Railroad "Live Album," announces Don England, VP, Marketing. “The 750,000 albums and 250,000 tapes is the largest initial number of any one Capitol product pre-ordered since the phenomenal sales trend of the Beatles was set in the mid-'60s," England said. A great asset for all, especially the consumer, is the price factor of this two -record set which carries a suggested retail price of $5.98,” England reported. “Not only is the record itself long by normal standards with one hour and 20 minutes of music, but the jacket carries a full-color inside spread plus a large, full-color souvenir poster of the group included free inside every album. This special suggested retail price has been carried over into the tape configurations as well with a two-cassette package in a special binder carrying asuggested retail price of $7.98. The eight-track cartridge has been assembled to give the buyer the full playing time of the album on one cartridge instead of the usual 40 minutes or so. It, too, will carry the one-dollar-more theme with a suggested retail price of $7.98. “The special low price for such a prestigious package has been made possible through the joint efforts and cooperation of Capitol and the individual members of Grand Funk Railroad and their manager-producer, Terry Knight,”England said. "Live Album," of course, qualifies for immediate RIAA certification for gold record million-seller status. It marks the fourth gold album in as many releases for the Capitol trio. __________ RECORD WORLD, November 28, 1970 - PICKS OF THE WEEK GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, "LIVE ALBUM." The Grand Funk. Railroad phenomenon is maybe like nothing that has ever been known on the contemporary scene. Selling out in hours weeks before they appear, the trio now has one of the fastest breaking albums ever. Two records of funk (Capitol SWBB 633). TRACKS: "Introduction" and "Words of Wisdom" are spoken-word tracks; consequently, original pressings of Live Album did not list author credits for these tracks. All other tracks are by Mark Farner, except where noted. Side one "Introduction" – 2:30 "Are You Ready" – 3:34 "Paranoid" – 6:20 "In Need" – 9:50 Side two "Heartbreaker" – 6:58 "Inside Looking Out" (John Lomax, Alan Lomax, Eric Burdon, Bryan "Chas" Chandler) – 12:22 Side three "Words of Wisdom" – 0:55 "Mean Mistreater" – 4:40 "Mark Says Alright" (Farner, Don Brewer, Mel Schacher) – 5:10 "T.N.U.C." – 11:45 Side four "Into the Sun" – 12:10 Credits Goes to the respective Author ✍️/ Photographer📸 🐇 🕳️ #Bitcoin #Satoshis #Freedom #Apocalypse #Music #Movies #Philosophy #Literature

🌊 SURF 'N TURF 🏝️ -THE ISLAND LIFE- Paolo and Virgínia, by Italian artist Alessandro Putinati, completed in 1844. It depicts the characters from the eponymous novel written by Bernardin de Saint-Pierre in 1787. The work tells the story of two children living on the island of Mauritius, members of different families but raised as brother and sister. Over time, their bond develops into a passionate love, causing concern for Virginia's mother, who sends her away to France. Putinati’s sculpture captures the moment when Paulo, overwhelmed with emotion, declares his love for the young woman. Years later, Virginia decides to return to the island, but the ship carrying her sinks against the rocks, right before Paulo’s disbelieving eyes. Consumed by grief, the young man dies of sorrow. The sculpture is currently in a private collection. Credits Goes to the respective Author ✍️/ Photographer📸 🐇 🕳️ #Bitcoin #Satoshis #Freedom #Apocalypse #Music #Movies #Philosophy #Literature
