Itβs so fucking weird it lets me zap your replies but not the notes??? WHYY
We are at $0.14 CAD which equates to $0.10 USD. Yeah $0.16 USD is a little steep.
One thing I learned last year is that I could get a reduction simply by calling and asking. My provider jacked us up to $0.32 a year and a half ago with no notice. I called in and got offered $0.16 on a two year contract. If I hadnβt noticed, each of our monthly bills through that winter would have been $1100-$1200!
Two months later I called in and asked for a further reduction and they gave me $0.14 on a renewed 2 year deal non-binding. Which begs the question why arenβt they just offering the best rate in the first place? The rep I spoke to said itβs wise to call in every couple months to ensure you are getting the best available rate.
My buddy that lives just out of town got $0.09/kW-h
Hope this helps.

He hadn't touched the word #Bitcoin in 2 years.
Since Trudeau backhanded him conveniently at bear bottom.
Poillievre has rebranded since. Even how he dresses and talks. He's already bought off.

I like the current one too, but many hath complained π
The NFL Salary Cap was ~$34 million when it was introduced in 1994. Today the Salary Cap is ~$260 million.
Has the NFL Salary Cap outpaced inflation?
If you use CPI to calculate the 2024 value of $34 million 1994 dollars, the answer is a MASSIVE YES.
According to CPI, $34 million in 1994 dollars is equivalent to $72 million.
According to the government, the NFL is a massive success, however...
If we use the M2 money supply growth as the proxy for inflation, things look different.
Using M2 as a proxy for inflation, $34 million 1994 dollars is equivalent to $205 BILLION.
Nearly 10x the current salary cap.
Neither of these measures is a perfect proxy for money supply growth (inflation). No one knows how many dollars exist and more can be "printed" at any time.
That said, NFL players likely make less than their 1994 counterparts.
They just seem richer because the "non-rich" have gotten poorer by comparison in the last 30 years.
