Evidence of what? I need to read a book to know Native Americans didn’t number in millions? Huh?

“1. Run a large number of xmr nodes from various geographical locations and ISPs to capture transaction ip address and time stamps. 2. Transaction feed (ip and everything) from one or more popular wallets’ default nodes.” This image belongs to the chainalysis video where they say they can trace Monero transactions. As you can see in a blockchain you need privacy at the chain level and at the network level. If one of the two fails you have no privacy. It's quite complicated to get privacy, it's not as easy as using tor either, you also have to mitigate time analytics. To mitigate it you need: - use Tor - Different circuits for each operation - Add delays to mitigate timing analysis attacks. If on top of that you connect to a centralized server without all these precautions, the privacy chain is useless. All of you who used Samourai's tools simply threw your money away. https://m.primal.net/LQtl.png
Native Americans never consisted of millions of people. Tribes were relatively small and in frequent conflict. My point is that tribal societies eventually succumb to more organized ones and usually don’t have as peachy of a life as some imagine. Take that into modern times with modern tech and you’d have an even tougher time staying around unless protected by some agreement with another nation state strong enough to defend you.

After I graduated early last year, my classmates Younes , npub147whqsr5vsj86x0ays70r0hgreklre3ey97uvcmxhum65skst56s30selt and I went all in on building Yakihonne. With this, some new members joined the YakiHonne team. This marks our fourth year exploring decentralized social networks.\n\nFor the first three years, we built a well-known decentralized research media platform in Asia. We experimented with decentralized creation, funding, and moderation to make media truly decentralized. From 2020 to early 2023, those were some of our happiest times—joining hackathons, winning grants, and focusing on decentralized media. We managed to achieve decentralized content creation for research communities.\n\nIn February 2023, we built a decentralized media client based on Nostr and secured some funding. In the early days of a small team, doing the right things and maintaining funding is crucial. Nostr's early phase, combined with the challenges many decentralized media projects have faced, made securing funding particularly tough.\n\n![image](https:\/\/yakihonne.s3.ap-east-1.amazonaws.com\/32dc4f259c3a7ce6ad130ef4771069d70d0ba6a55ce960fac4e439a3f95ddcce\/files\/1728546635560-YAKIHONNES3.jpg)\n\nI really believe in the Chinese saying, \"**After endless mountains and rivers that leave doubt whether there is a path out, suddenly one encounters the shade of a willow, bright flowers and a lovely village.**” 山重水复疑无路,柳岸花明又一村。\n\nAt the Bitcoin Global Summit in the US, I met npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z , npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s , npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 , npub1j8y6tcdfw3q3f3h794s6un0gyc5742s0k5h5s2yqj0r70cpklqeqjavrvg, and others who gave us much encouragement and inspiration. In NV, I was asked if our projects on Nostr were competitors. My belief has always been that we are in a positive sum game—building the ecosystem together and creating growth, rather than being competitors. This is the nature of Nostr and a necessity for the future development of the world. The virtual digital world is vast enough, and we don’t need to cling to zero-sum thinking from the industrial age.\n\n![image](https:\/\/yakihonne.s3.ap-east-1.amazonaws.com\/32dc4f259c3a7ce6ad130ef4771069d70d0ba6a55ce960fac4e439a3f95ddcce\/files\/1728547039040-YAKIHONNES3.jpg)\n\nOn my way back to Singapore from NV, a series of delays turned a 24-hour journey into 40 hours. Luckily, I didn't miss my chance to meet with my PhD supervisor. We had a great conversation about publishing and media through the lens of AI, social computing, advertising, and intelligent philosophy . Over the past 20 years, my supervisor has spent almost half of each year traveling to different countries, promoting the development of AI and complex systems. Now he’s more focused on making sure his students stay healthy.\n\n![image](https:\/\/yakihonne.s3.ap-east-1.amazonaws.com\/32dc4f259c3a7ce6ad130ef4771069d70d0ba6a55ce960fac4e439a3f95ddcce\/files\/1728547262613-YAKIHONNES3.jpg)\n\nOver the past two years, I received a few invitations for journal submissions, but I had to delay them due to my busy schedule. Moving forward, I plan to publish our latest research as papers, introducing Nostr and decentralized social networks to more academics, and inviting more researchers to join the Nostr ecosystem.\n\nRight before boarding, I received support from an international academic organization, which really lifted my travel fatigue. Together, we’ll be planning a series of initiatives to engage the academic community in discussions about Nostr.\n\nA big thanks to my team and npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240 ,npub1trr5r2nrpsk6xkjk5a7p6pfcryyt6yzsflwjmz6r7uj7lfkjxxtq78hdpu npub1szpa7cypmyd59083qs3pte9lez22lzfu6pl2guhgqx7q09x68y6qquh3td for supporting Yakihonne and helping us grow.\n\nWendy \nOD311 Flight \n2024-10-09\n\n","sig":"591d2d28997131c2b9481deb7dd9ef692227b7eb2364038b3dd751e4fb047541a4745d3152a86d370081cbbfb50ed92ed31fa72cbe2303558ff99eaf3eb3d1d6","kind":30023,"created_at":1728547836,"id":"7aa37aceec50b62a3e69cda1bd7ba76a76397c4af1b295ad61c7b9e2ae8d76da","pubkey":"32dc4f259c3a7ce6ad130ef4771069d70d0ba6a55ce960fac4e439a3f95ddcce"}

Probably due in part to population explosion and Dunbar limit. In the ancient world there were far fewer people, less technology to distract. It was easier to know and be engaged in your community. Now it feels almost irrelevant. Cities often act against the interests of people when there’s a juicy corporate carrot dangling around.

How small of a group do you imagine? City? District of a city? We already have these structures in place and they ultimately produce the current environment. Cities want someone to dispute their conflicts which leads to counties and states and the federal level. There is not a nation state in the world that is not centrally governed. The world has q already optimized for this structure. You always need someone to settle disputes without resorting to violence, and this dispute resolution just goes up the ladder, eventually escalating in war. Id like to see an example of self governance in the real world or even an imagined one that takes into consideration the current state of the world.
