I enjoyed creating this because it combines all my professional passions: writing, computing, security, filmmaking, digital arts, intelligence, business, health, metaphysics, people, psychology, art, money, and even music - I played the theme beats live! The whole production was out of pocket and produced by myself. This includes a couple years of learning, practice, organization and note making. Read the notes in the descriptions. I haven’t tried Start9 but I left Umbrel around the time v0.5 came out, rolled my own setup using docker in Proxmox containers, then got frustrated and burned it all down because it was brittle. I came back to Umbrel this week at v1.2 and wow it has improved a lot. I say it’s worth checking out.
