If 50% of our existence is online, then how do we as individuals exist in this digital realm? Had a great chat with Mike @bitcoinbeach. We discussed where the world is today and how far, we are personally removed from everything to do with our own online existence. In today’s world a big part of our lives plays out in the digital realm. We really live a hybrid human experience. Today there are close to 6 billion people of the 8 billion that are online. The challenge is how is this all managed? Through the way the internet has evolved up to now, it has slowly removed us from our own identities. The last years have clearly shown us that we have become part of a bigger machine that has control over our us, what we communicate and who controls our digital property/data. Our digital selves have been captured and we are no longer fully in control. Continuing this path brings great challenges to the progression of humanity. No longer can we as actual representatives of a free humanity direct where the future is headed as we have been digitally sidestepped. People are clearly starting to realize that this is happening and have had enough. We have seen a lot of pockets of awareness popping up all over the globe. There are uprisings and protests everywhere. We are seeing the birth of new decentralized technologies like #bitcoin start to gain popularity. Countries are now taking this on. nostr:npub1n6ycrxrap2872hxs9ffu4vfn42pfrccr7hevxat6gr39vdzn3nqq2ra474 has made it legal tender in El Salvador. Presidential candidates like nostr:npub1h0fd5xu8rfhwdkkjr78ssdhm7rdjyf97hhjqr9acwv77ux0uvf8q23kvcg in small countries like Suriname as well as counties as influential as the USA all have included it as part of their presidential campaigns. The world is clearly ready for change. The next phase of humanity is in the digital realm, and we are in the process of building this new future paradigm. We are building the tools today through open-source technologies like #bitcoin and #nostr that allow us to live in this new paradigm. These new tools will allow us, just like in the physical world, to be in control and responsible for ourselves, responsible for our actions, our property and what we do and share. It is us as individuals that come together that make the future of humanity also in this new digital world. The future looks exciting and bright.
