Hi nostr, its been a chaotic day, and my routine and plans got way off track. I was supposed to be at the church kitchen to volunteer first thing this morning. My husband had just left to run some errands, and i went out to water the chickens. One of the young roosters was wedged between the back of the nest boxes and fencing, just dangling there. I thought he was dead, but he wasnt. I tried to gently pull him free, to no avail. So i ran to the shop, got the drill, and started removing the wooden back of the coop wall, then of course the battery died on the drill, and i had to find another. Finally got the poor rooster loose, and i was worried he would die. I left him with water and drove to church for my volunteer shift, arriving very late of course, and when i got back the rooster looked better, moving alot more. I kept an eye on him, and by the end of the day he's looking normal now. After i got back i was behind on all the chores, and didnt get much watering done, oh well. And here i had my day perfectly planned. God is laughing at me. Yall have a good evening nostr friends. #grownostr #homesteading #chickens #plans
