The Federal Reserve System was established in 1913 with the signing of the Federal Reserve Act by President Woodrow Wilson. The Fed, as it is commonly known, was created to serve as the central banking system of the United States, with the primary goals of maintaining monetary and financial stability. The Fed is composed of a Board of Governors, a Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), and 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks. The Board of Governors, located in Washington, D.C., is responsible for setting key interest rates and overseeing the operations of the Federal Reserve System. In the decades following its establishment, the Federal Reserve has played a crucial role in shaping the U.S. economy. During the Great Depression, the Fed's actions were criticized for exacerbating the economic downturn, leading to reforms and a shift in its policy approach. Over time, the Fed's responsibilities have expanded to include managing inflation, promoting full employment, and ensuring the stability of the financial system. The Fed's monetary policy decisions, such as adjusting interest rates, have a significant impact on the broader economy, affecting consumer spending, business investment, and the value of the U.S. dollar. Today, the Federal Reserve continues to be a central pillar of the U.S. financial system, playing a critical role in promoting economic growth and stability. 🤡 🎪 🐘 Study #bitcoin 🧡

I’m not sure how much wot would help me in filtering niche content most people probably don’t care about.
Joe Biden is Satoshi
We all stay on nostr, where we are in control of the algorithm. Any hint of regularly AI generated content will mean I remove you from my WoT. Filter bubbles are going to get a lot worse, though...
People who didn’t write their own history 🤔
Good if you’re fine with fakes, but I think it only ruins those platforms.
nostr.build is missing from the list. We do have an interface to post notes to share media (mini client) 😭😭😭

No, with coinjoins it is not enough to use tor alone, because if so, they are vulnerable to tagging attacks. Monero is basically a coinjoin, if you don't use different tor circuits for inputs and outputs you are vulnerable.

How to manage natural and other disasters. As individuals we can take advantage of statism to plan and manage natural disasters. This is applicable to other facets of life. Statism due to a lack of incentives, or rather a total lack of them, is the perfect counter-indicator. If the state tells you that a super catastrophe is coming almost 100% that it will be nothing, if the state tells you that nothing will happen almost 100% that it will be a super catastrophe. Add to this the information or rather disinformation of the media. Practically statism has predicted all major events if we multiply them by -1. Some practical examples: - Katrina (total failure in predictions) - COVID (total lie) - Bitcoin Keep your eyes open and use statism to your advantage.
LLMs made Pinterest mostly useless. I used to go there to get ideas for interior design and to get a sense of where architecture is at any given time but now it’s completely polluted with generated garbage. Sometimes it’s impossible to tell if the image I’m looking at is something that actually exists or totally made up. What happens when the new models train on this “fake” data? It’s gonna be fakes all the way down. This can’t be good.

#Nostr is antifragile. The protocol is becoming stronger and more robust with every attack. Of course, it would be nice to have users escaping Twitter stick around, but they will eventually come back. There might be resemblance with #Bitcoin here, and one may need to stumble upon Nostr three times to finally realize the irrefutable power of its protocol. nostr:note1mrfww4c7k74yvzaw70kxf2nj8rq8y0vz5u457r8udl85h0e3ucts4wv5h5
