Haha yes, very discomforting to see so many bitcoin/nostr folks with very poor intellectual skills. I think it’s partly that the dumbest shout the loudest, and partly that libertarian spaces attract conspiracy theorists who mistake contrarianism for intelligence and build their entire identity around rejecting anything that smells of mainstream.
