THE WORLD BEFORE DEGLACIATION
...
What you see in the photo is an alignment of stones found beneath Kootenay Lake in British Columbia, Canada. Scholars disagree on the origin of this alignment of stones. Some say it is a natural phenomenon, while others think it is a true petroglyph. Researchers also disagree on when it would have been created. At present, however, no research expedition has been made to study the phenomenon. One fact is certain: those aligned stones lie under the waters of the lake.

This event reminds us that long ago, the world was very different from how we know it today. We refer to about 14,000, before the deglaciation. At that time, the sea level was much lower, and there were more landmasses than there are today. To give a few examples, we can say that in place of present-day Indonesia was a small continent that is lost today. Or, we can say that England was attached to the rest of Europe by a large plain.
...
And then what? And then the glaciers of Northern Europe and North America melted in a very short time, and the whole world experienced a real “apocalypse,” a rise in the waters of about 120 meters. All the coasts of planet Earth were submerged, and much of the adjacent plains as well.

A very serious mistake that is continually made by many (not all, fortunately) historians, archaeologists and anthropologists is to think that the world has always been as we know it. Nothing could be more wrong. The thaw that occurred about 14,000 years ago, the comet bombardment that occurred about 12,800 years ago (now accepted and proven by the scientific community in its entirety), the Younger Dryas (a mini ice age) that occurred about 11,800 years ago, and the Desertification of the Sahara that began 9,000 years ago, have completely redesigned the environment in which human beings have lived for the past 15,000 years. We are the “survivors” of those events. Others, unfortunately, did not make it.
...
It doesn't take a degree in archaeology to understand that whatever settlements/cities/villages were found along the coast, and in many cases even inland, are now under the sea, with about 20 meters of mud covering them. So it is not correct to say that we know all the civilizations that have followed one another in our past. To be precise, we only know the civilizations that were NOT submerged by rising waters, that were NOT affected by the bombardment of comets, and that were NOT in the Sahara before it became a desert. Of course, there are many of them. But, of course, they are not all of them.
