You think that you shouldn’t care about what people would say or do if you know that what you are doing is right. Sometimes you might think you are right, you are not though. In terms of spending the following verse is advised to take into consideration: وَلَا تَجْعَلْ يَدَكَ مَغْلُولَةً إِلَىٰ عُنُقِكَ وَلَا تَبْسُطْهَا كُلَّ الْبَسْطِ فَتَقْعُدَ مَلُومًا مَحْسُورًا And do not make your hand [as] chained to your neck or extend it completely and [thereby] become blamed and insolvent.
