This was a very special day for the Augsburg silver merchant Benedikt Adam von Liebert, as on the same evening the daughter of the Austrian Empress Maria-Theresia inaugurated the magnificent rococo ballroom in his newly completed palace with a glittering ball. This event made the Liebert Palace, which was later acquired by the von Schaezler family, a first-class sightseeing destination for all travelers to Augsburg. And it has retained this attraction to this day.
