It’ll be a long journey to „fix“ this mindset. „Don’t trust, verify“ is probably the shortest explanation of this, but not well understood. At least not lived by most. Probably also the reason why there are much more employees than self employed. Many want to be told what and how to do things and never question the status quo, even as they get older. I don’t know if that did change over the years, or if it will ever change? Is this human nature? Some question the status quo, most don’t. Some lead, most follow. Some self custody, most will never do?
