Good morning Nostr 💜 Lots of changes happening in Washington DC today. Unless you live in this town it's hard to explain how much people are impacted by each Administration. With each new one comes hope and panic and fear. Every word uttered by anyone associated with the new Administration is dissected and sensationalized (for views obviously but also) to try to calm everyone's anxiety. Give them some insight to what to brace yourself for. I told myself I wouldn't give in to any collective panic (or hope) until something actually happens. And signed executive orders in this town are ~*performative*~. Many of them go unimplemented, or are weakly implemented. This goes for any party or President. This is why I stopped reading the news years ago and started only checking on things a week or so after they "happen". Most headlines are nothing more than that. A jumping off point for someone on social media to pretend they somehow know the future.
