you can tell 'ahkchually' nerds are in charge of tmux development by this one thing... the horizontal split option doesnt create a horizontal line across the screen, because it techically is splitting the horizontal plane, therefore it creates a vertical line. and vise versa. so the horizontal split creates a vertical line, and the vertical split creates a horizontal line. frickin nerds.
