The nuclear threat isn't real for most people, they simply don't understand the risk or the potential impact. The loss of bodily autonomy rights for women however is fresh in their minds as it was lost for many (State by State) only one administration ago under the same candidate that is seeking reelection now. Any hope of the pendulum swinging back the other direction in the next 4 years rests on this election. Makes perfect sense to me why it's their top issue.
