We’ve been on the road for four months with four kids. We typically park our rig on public land, or in national parks. We took a class c motorhome, 27ft, no slides, and got it converted by ujoints off-road (link below). After 22 000kms I can say that the conversion is absolutely awesome. The rig is extremely capable off road and on the highway. They will covert pretty much any ford e350, or e450 chassis from 2010 onwards.
