Every single Cuban, Venezuelan, and Nicaraguan I work with… and there are many, tell the story of how they grew up under Socialism. They all strongly oppose the current Democratic Party, saying it feels far too similar to the governments their families fled. They are uncomfortably vocal about this. We need to listen to those who have lived through and understand these environments. Change happens gradually, then suddenly.
