When I got (finally) laid off, the CEO wrapped it in numerous sincere apologies and regrets. But *on the flip side* noted that he's proud and relieved that the move will not negatively impact company's DEI quotas. It was Quotas Über Alles; a mad house bloated by ZIRP.
