An action can be emotionally pure and politically stupid at the same time.
Knut points out the political side, and he's right.
You point out the emotional part and you're right too.
However, I find the political part more important tbh.
Being overly emotional usually makes you a pawn and a scapegoat rather quickly. It made him one before. He should have learned the lesson.
