Doesn’t matter whether he cares. It’s whether he will be embarrassed or look cowardly for not doing it. At this point he has positioned himself strongly enough that I think he will do it purely to protect his ego. It makes him look like a fool if he doesn’t. If you think the possibility is zero, then I think you just have political blinders on same as anyone stuck in the left/right game. A very rudimentary look at how he behaves and how much he cares about his image suggests otherwise.
