Some facts about #PeterTodd activity on Bitcointalk.org. He created his account on 12/7/10. He responded to Satoshi on 12/10/10. This was his second message on Bitcointalk.org. Then, he hadn’t not posted a new message until 4/26/12. Certainly, this is a bit of a strange timeline. If Peter Todd is #SatoshiNakamoto and noticed that he had posted a reply with the wrong account, why would Peter had used the compromised account more than a year later while this account was brand new and not associable with his person? It’s unlikely that Peter wouldn’t have noticed the mistake although possible. Some say, that Peter’s reply could simply have been a reply to Satoshi and while this is possible, it doesn’t seem very probable based on past/future activity and the nature of the reply. That said, I find it curious that Satoshi would have added this comment in a new reply rather than just editing his original message. I couldn’t find another instance of Satoshi posting two messages in a row on Bitcointalk.org (but maybe I missed it). Also, this thread was saved 7 times on wayback machine, the first date being November 2015. It’s curious that it took 5 years for this discussion to be first archived while Peter Todd started to contribute actively in 2012. I would imagine that the odd occurence would have been spotted and archived at an earlier date. Is it possible that somehow Peter Todd message was retroactively added to the discussion to make it seem as he was replying to himself using a different account? After all, what evidence do we have that this thread wasn’t tampered with? Ironically, it would have been beneficial for bitcointlalk.org to run an immutable timeline but because that’s not the case, this finding will keep us speculating for a while. #Bitcoin #BTC #HBO https://web.archive.org/web/20240000000000*/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2181.msg28739
