My main annoyance with a while back I checked in on it for some months and the discord felt like nothing was happening, and that it was a big tech project with no spirit. SourceCode repos were tumbleweeds. So them at some point they built out this thing which is in the marketing sense decentralized. Meanwhile the speed and algo layer is all due to some huge hidden compute cost which is being paid by someone/VC. Feels like a trap. I'm checking it out and enjoying it but my key reservation is with hidden cost and ownership. Feels like my persona there is a product. The nostr response that is like to see, if there is one, is for all the big relays to go paid and let us know and pay the cost of a bulletproof social network.
