It’s a promise which obviously has the potential to be bullshit. But it seems less likely than not. Doesn’t matter whether he cares. It’s whether he will be embarrassed or look cowardly for not doing it. At this point he has positioned himself strongly enough that I think he will do it purely to protect his ego. It makes him look like a fool if he doesn’t. If you think the possibility is zero, then I think you just have political blinders on same as anyone stuck in the left/right game.
